\n\t\t\tEnvironmental awareness towards sustainable development\t<\/h2>\n\tLocated in the heart of the Deux-S\u00e8vres, in the middle of pastures, it is quite natural that EXT\u00c9BOIS has sought to preserve its environment by minimising its impact on nature.\n

LIMITING THE CARBON FOOTPRINT<\/h3>\nThanks to local suppliers with whom EXT\u00c9BOIS has formed genuine partnerships, the company limits the transport of goods or multi-site exchanges as much as possible, thus reducing its carbon footprint to a minimum.\n

OUR CARBON COMMITMENT : more responsible playgrounds<\/h3>\n

With complete transparency, we measure the carbon footprint of each of our products.<\/p>\n

Supported by the Carbon Cooperative company, we have developed a tool that enables us to calculate both the carbon impact and the percentage of recycled materials for every product.<\/p>\n

This data is available to you. It helps us identify key figures for reducing our environmental impact, while giving you the information you need to make you choice.<\/p>\n

For each product, we provide a detailed document including this information.<\/p>\n

PEFC CERTIFICATION<\/h3>\n

HPL, pine timber and glued laminated wood are made with ecologically managed forest. It allowed us to certified PEFC our products made with these materials.<\/p>\n

THE CARBON FOOTPRINT OF OUR PRODUCTS<\/h3>\n

In full transparency, we measure the carbon footprint of each product. This data is available upon request. These insights guide our efforts to reduce environmental impact, while empowering you to make informed and responsible product choices.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tRECYCLABLE AND RECYCLED MATERIALS\t<\/h2>\n\t

EXT\u00c9BOIS manufactures its plays only with recyclable and truly recycled materials!<\/p>\n

WOOD<\/h4>\n\t\t\t

This involves Class 4 autoclave-treated pine with Wolmanit (certified CTB-B+). The pine used is PEFC certified, meaning it comes from ecologically managed French forests. A large portion of wood waste are recycled internally for product packaging and wood chips are sorted and recycled as fuel in local brickworks and cement plants.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

HPL PANELS<\/h4>\n\t\t\t

These panels are made from recycled wood and cardboard. Waste and sawdust are sorted and recycled as fuel.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

STEEL<\/h4>\n\t\t\t

The steel used, whether stainless or galvanised, is entirely recyclable. The waste resulting from machining is sorted and recycled by a specialised company. They are transformed and revalued in the manufacture of new steel parts.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

ALUMINIUM<\/h4>\n\t\t\t

The aluminium used is fully recyclable. Waste resulting from machining are sorted and recycled by a specialised company. It is transformed and revalued in the manufacture of new aluminium parts.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

PACKAGING<\/h4>\n\t\t\t

EXT\u00c9BOIS uses as much recyclable material as possible in the manufacture of its packaging: Wooden pallets and cardboard are the main components. These consist of internally recycled wood and cardboard from supplier deliveries – nothing is lost at EXT\u00c9BOIS!<\/p>\n

VOC-FREE FINISHES<\/h3>\n

The finishing stains used on wood are water-based, ensuring very low emissions of VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). This guarantees operators applying them a zero health risk and real ease of use. Similarly, once applied, these stains emit no solvents.<\/p>\n

The paints used on steel and aluminum components consist of 100% dry extract polyester powder. This means they contain no solvents. Applied by baking in ovens, this gives them great hardness and longevity.<\/p>\n
